How to measure your German-Shepherd dog for good fit Collar:
Please be advised that:
- For a buckle collar when you specify the neck size we will make the collar fit on the central hole.
- There will be totally 5 holes and distance between every 2 holes is 1 inch (25 mm).
- For example, your dog's neck size is 20 inches (50 cm), the collar will fit on the central hole at 20 inches (50 cm).
- There will be 2 smaller size holes - 18 inches (45 cm) and 19 inches (47.5 cm).
- There will be 2 bigger size holes - 21 inches (52.5 cm) and 22 inches (55 cm).
- There will also be a tip of the collar after last hole about 2 inches long (5 cm).
- Those are handmade collars and some sizes will differ a little (not in significant way).
- Two ply leather collars and padded leather collars are 1 inch bigger to make sure that they will fit your dog.
This Studded Wide Dog Collar keeps its unique shape for a long time thanks to its top-quality material - thick full grain genuine leather that is flexible and non-stretching at the same time. Especially if you care of leather dog equipment with special water repellent and cleaning means, it will serve for years saving a great look and original shape.
The decorative pyramids are hand set to the leather strap in 4 lines along all the wide collar part. As all the fittings of this supply they are made of strong steel and protected from rust and corrosion by a layer of nickel. Such covering also makes the surface of the hardware more glossy and shiny, so that this product looks great on a dog’s neck.
We have already mentioned that this collar has a buckle, so this model is adjustable. It has 5 holes on the opposite to the buckle end of the strap, using them you can regulate the size of this supply in case if your German-Shepherd changes his shape. There is a massive D-ring near the buckle. You can attach a tag or a leash to this D-ring that is strong enough even for handling large dogs that can pull on a leash very hard.
Ordering a collar you’d better check the neck size of your dog measuring it according to our instructions (they are placed in the block ‘How to measure’). In other case you risk to get a dog collar of wrong size that won’t be effective and comfortable for your pet. So be attentive.
